We are going for a formal garden party vibe. Think elegant, colourful and relaxed, pastel but not black tie. For women, preferred midi or maxi dresses with colour, beautiful prints and flowing fabrics. We are keeping things polished and garden party appropriate, so please leave the jumpsuits and very casual styles at home. For men, suits with jackets, with ties optional, taking inspiration from our moodboards. PS: As the ceremony will be outdoors, we recommend choosing footwear suitable for the grass.

What is the setting for the ceremony and reception?

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors on the lawns & patio at Pioneer Country. Followed by our reception and dancing inside the rustic barn.

What shoes should I wear?

Since we will be spending time celebrating on the beautiful lawns, we highly recommend block heels, wedges, or dress flats so you don't sink into the grass.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be held on the lawn area (weather dependent), followed by an indoor barn reception. The Tweed hinterland can get a bit fresh in the evening, so we suggest bringing a light jacket or shawl just in case.

Are there any colors we should avoid?

Please leave traditional whites, creams and ivory to the bride. We would love to see colour, preferably no black dresses. Lean into the colour palette above.
